WHAT DO I NEED TO KNOW ABOUT SURF AND WEATHER CONDITIONS?
1) surf season
we are spoiled with waves all year round and with us, you’ll find waves all year round! especially for beginner surfers, there is always a beach break to surf.
the months november – february are known for some higher swells and therefore preferred by experienced surfers.
in september and october, april and may you find medium high waves, perfect for intermediate surfers. the summer months are known for smaller, but still super fun waves. we have a large selection of surf spots and therefore find suitable waves for every condition and surf level: when very small or very big swells hit the coast there are always waves to surf for your individual level.
and in case the waves are really too big or there are no waves at all, we offer alternatives (paradise valley, souk el had, skating…) or you just enjoy your free time to explore the local area.
2) weather forecast
check meteoblue.com (location tamraght ou fella) for a reliable weather forecast.
3) average water temperature
jan 18°C – feb 17°C – mar 17°c – apr 18°C – may 19°C – jun 20°C – jul 20°C – aug 21°C – sep 21°C – oct 21°C – nov 19°C – dec 18°C
4) wetsuit
we recommend a 3.2 wetsuit for autumn, winter and spring months and a shorty for summer months. if you are very sensitive to cold water, bring your own 4.3 wetsuit. we provide 3.2 wetsuits by “rip curl” and local brand “moors” for our guests.
WHAT ABOUT SURF LESSONS?
we organize surf lessons according to the waves conditions and the tides – we want you to surf the best surf conditions. we adapt the surf lessons to the level of each person and guarantee a ratio of 6 guests per surf teacher. we usually do two sessions per day, one in the morning and one in the afternoon.
WHAT ABOUT SURF BOARDS?
we have different types of boards; soft boards and hard boards in various sizes. we also offer a collection of short boards. you will have the possibility to surf different boards according to different conditions of the waves and individual surf skills.
WHAT IF SURF CONDITIONS ARE NOT GOOD?
if surf conditions are not good, we offer alternative activities. you can visit souk el had in agadir, visit paradise valley or a surf skate lesson – you can always book exciting add-ons or enjoy a unique hammam / massage experience at the spa house in tamraght. you can also take a long walk along the beach and visit taghazout or just grab an amazing avocado smoothie in one of the village’s fruit juice bars and enjoy the breathtaking views and the local atmosphere.
IS THE BEACH IN WALKING DISTANCE?
yes! it’s a 10-15min walk to banana beach, banana point and devils rock. another walk you should not miss: sunday evening sunset walk from our surf camp along the beach of k17 and panorama to taghaozout (1h): enjoy the most beautiful sceneries and sunset vibes and reward yourself with a delicious dinner in the famous surf town.
make a little detour and stop at our local pastry shop (3min walk), fancy coffee house “hey yallah” (5min walk) for a coffee and at “let’s be” (10min walk) for a delicious juice and organic energy bar to go.

SURF SOUL ADVENTURE
and
the SALTY GOAST surf house by SURF SOUL ADVENTURE
in 2018 andrea and omar opened the doors to surf lovers from around the world. ever since then they have given guests the full surf experience, full of adventure and food for the soul – hence “surf soul adventure”. what make them happy the most is seeing guests screaming with joy when surfing the waves, and screaming of surprise when seeing the famous goats in the trees. which is why they have always called guests “ our lovely salty goats”: just like the goats are never too afraid to bravely climb up spiky argan trees to reach another delicious fruit, guests are never too tired to catch another wave, never too scared to smash their own limits!
when the pandemic hit, so many of their lovely guests reached out to andrea and omar and the whole team, letting them know how much they loved this surf home in morocco and how much they were already looking forward to come back after this most difficult period. that touched andrea and omar so much so that they promised with all their heart – inspired by their guests, and just like the goats – that they would not only survive this crisis, but thrive and make it an even better home for you! there was only one way forward for them and that was to put the name of their lovely guests on the door: SALTY GOATS!
so we could not be prouder that the surf camp is not only your home again, but now wears your name too: the SALTY GOATS surf house by surf soul adventure
